Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Staten Island is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Staten Island follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Staten Island Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, especially Dr. Patel, Svetlana, and Jodie. They went above and beyond to help me get a very difficult pre-authorization approved so that I could finally have my procedure done. The entire process could have been extremely stressful and frustrating, but their patience, dedication, communication, and willingness to keep working on my behalf made such a huge difference. Svetlana and Jadie were absolutely amazing throughout the process. They were kind, professional, compassionate, and truly made me feel like I was more than just another patient. I am incredibly grateful for the time and effort they put into getting everything approved and making sure I could receive the care I needed. It is rare to come across a team that genuinely cares and goes the extra mile for their patients. Thank you, Dr. Patel, Svetlana, and Jodie, for everything you did for me. I truly appreciate you and could not be more grateful for your help. You are an amazing team, and I highly recommend Staten Island Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery! ❀️

I truly appreciate everything Dr. Jessica G. Li did for me. I suffered a lower orbital floor fracture, and she repaired it by placing a titanium plate in my orbital floor. She and her entire team took amazing care of me before, during, and after my surgery. I felt supported throughout the entire process, and I am extremely grateful for the excellent care I received. I trust Dr. Li so much that I have referred my entire family to her.
